Compaxo Vleeswaren BV in Gouda produces both traditional and contemporary meat products, roughly 350 types of meat products in roughly 1500 varieties of packaging and weights. Fresh and frozen meat products are delivered daily by national and international suppliers, are knowledgably inspected, processed, refrigerated and administered for further processing. In the various production departments such as sausage making, ham departments and salty rows the meat products are processed to become raw materials for the final product. Then these semi manufactured products go to other departments to be cured, smoked, and salted or to the climate chambers where they will become the final product. This process can take from a couple of hours to a few weeks. In the high tech slicing and cutting and packing departments, the products are prepared for transport. The products are stored and administered in our own cold storage areas. Compaxo has its own distribution system, lorry’s, garages, labs, quality services and its own technical service which mean short turnarounds and focal points.
